Getting Started with Scripting

The MFGStream Scripting documentation assumes that the read has at least a beginner level understanding of programming logic, data-structures, and general program components in VBA.

MFGStream scripts are written using VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) within the MFGStream designer application and are used throughout the MFGStream ecosystem.

In most cases, an MFGStream script starts as an empty macro file with the .bas file extension. Finished script files are deployed to the “code” folder for your MFGStream server. The default location for this folder is [MFGStream Install Dir]\Code.
